Rosman Sulaiman asked no less than three times if this reporter was playing a prank on him.

The Woodlands Wellington defender could not believe that he has been picked in the 22-man Singapore Selection squad to face Atletico Madrid at the Jalan Besar Stadium on May 22.

When asked if he was excited to face the La Liga outfit in the Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Charity Cup, the 30-year-old, said: “To be honest, I don’t know how to answer that – I’m still in shock. This is very surprising, man.”

Rosman, who has 11 caps, last featured for the national team during the 2010 Suzuki Cup tournament, when the Lions crashed out in the group stages.

The 22-man squad to face Atletico include three S-League foreigners - Tanjong Pagar's Monsef Zerka, Home's Sirina Camara and Geylang's Jozef Kaplan. The likes of Shahril Ishak, Hariss Harun and and Baihakki Khaizan are also in the team.
