S-League Teams May Have To Share Grounds In Future

The Asian financial crisis of 1997-98. A string of foreign club flops. Match-fixing scandals. Dwindling crowds in recent years. These are the storms that the S-League has weathered since its inception in 1996.

Another big change is coming the way of Singapore's professional football league with the Government's announcement that it will convert some older stadiums into sports parks. This has sparked the possibility that some S-League clubs might be dislodged from their homes, leading to a new development - ground sharing.
