Woodlands Wellington lost 2-1 in a friendly match against LionsXII at Jalan Besar Stadium on Tuesday evening. A late comeback from the Malaysia Super League side saw them score twice in the last ten minutes to edge the Rams on home soil.

Salim Moin started off the match by fielding a strong first eleven, electing to play Yazid Yasin in goal. Ang Zhi Wei, Shahril Alias, Cho Sung Hwan and Rosman Sulaiman filled up the Rams' rearguard while Atsushi Shimono slotted into his usual role of protecting the back four. Ridhwan Osman and former LionsXII player Taufiq Rahmat played in the middle and Khalid Hamdaoui supported a two-pronged attack consisting of Moon Soon-Ho and Chang Jo-Yoon.
