We Have Moved!

Hey there Black Sheep friends! It's with no small amount of sadness that I have to say we are no longer updating this blog with new content. Don't fear, however! This blog  won't be closing down, so you can look through our backlog and archives.

The Supporter Group of Woodlands Wellington FC are pleased to announce the relaunch of our website & blog, with a brand new design and fresh content.

Please check out our new updated blog and follow us on the rest of our adventures. We hope you like what you see!

Black Sheep ~ Who Are They?

Frequent S-League watchers would have noticed a new supporters group while watching games involving Woodlands Wellington games. Dubbed 'The Black Sheep', they are the vocal group behind the Woodlands’ players on the pitch.

Kampung Kambing Hitam (Black Sheep Village)

Welcome to Kampung Kambing Hitam, a green pasture located in the northern part of Singapore where a warm hello, a  hearty handshake and a big smile help to bridge the gap between the neighbourhood in the North. Neighbours of different backgrounds, ethnicity, professions made it a family affair bringing not only their kids in tow, but the extended family of grandparents and other close relatives to cheer for the Rams who played their hearts out in the various matches.

In this small community of ours, everyone is part of the Kambing family which is always full of friendly smiles of all ages. The seniors, middle-aged, youngsters, teens and kids are brothers and sisters to one another.  And we stand united for the love of  football as a single entity without racial prejudice. This multi-cultural group is dedicated to supporting the team at every home game, and travels to most away games. With drums and non-stop chanting, in both English & Bahasa Melayu (Malay language), the Black Sheep have been with the Rams through the good times and the bad times.

At every game we stand proudly and throw our voices for 90+ minutes singing and cheering in support of our beloved home team.  Energetic & vocal with a "NEVER SURRENDER" attitude is what this supporter's group are all about.... and we like to party!

Our cheers are all positive and family friendly given the large number of children in the stand. Kids are great at yelling too!!!

Our aim?  To bring people from all walks of life together during football games and promote the long-lost kampung spirit.

Our mission? To carry and inspire the team to victory by creating a fun and true football atmosphere in all venues where the team plays.

Our Membership fees? The Group is pretty free flowing.  We have a few key members that help keep things going but there are no membership fees.  If you stand with us on game day then you are one of us.

Our door is always open to anyone who wish to become part of this big happy family. It is always a delight to see some new faces in the group.  If you want to meet other like minded supporters from Woodlands,  to participate in a wide variety of fun extras which include waving flags, tossing streamers and confetti, showing off a variety of posters and banners, then this is the right group for you.

So join us for the next home match. Just make sure to bring your spirit, your passion, and your voice!

We know we are, we're sure we are.. we're Woodlands 'til we die.

One thing Woodlands Wellington faithfuls would bring back apart from the 2-3 loss to Home United would be the honour of having former Singapore international Yazid Yasin as their custodian.

The 34 year old made a total of ten top class saves throughout the match, including denying Sirina Camara from the penalty spot.

Home United kept their hopes of finishing in the top two alive after a nail biting 3-2 victory over a stubborn Woodlands Wellington side.

With the two teams sharing the same points prior to kick-off, both coaches, Salim Moin and Lee Lim Saeng were aiming for nothing but a victory.

The Korean left the stadium the fortunate one, as his team is only trailing Albirex Niigata (S) by a point, after collecting maximum points at the Woodlands stadium.
